Free-standing wardrobes

If you don’t have built-in wardrobe space in your bedroom, a free-standing wardrobe can make all the difference when you're looking to revamp your bedroom. After beds, wardrobes are often the second most dominant piece of furniture in the bedroom, so you really need something as aesthetic as it is practical.

We also offer plenty of matching bedroom furniture to complement your new wardrobe.

Oak and wooden wardrobes

All our wardrobes are made from solid oak, and other high-quality woods like acacia, ash and mango.

There are many benefits to choosing a wooden wardrobe as they are a big investment, so you want them to stand the test of time. Solid wooden wardrobes are durable and sturdy enough to store your clothing and possessions.

Wooden wardrobes are also versatile and look at home in any bedroom interior style. Their timeless appeal means they become a staple in your bedroom for years to come, even if you decide to redecorate. You can also varnish or paint a wooden wardrobe if you decide to update your interior in years to come.

Double wardrobes

Our collection of double wardrobes are made from solid oak and painted or stained acacia wood. They come ready-made and are freestanding, so they can quickly make any bedroom look neat, tidy, and revitalised.

Our two door wardrobes, like Canterbury come in two assembled sections with one large full hanging wardrobe unit and one large drawer unit to give greater storage versatility.

Triple wardrobes

Our triple wardrobes offer a large amount of additional storage space for clothes, bedding, and more. Three door wardrobes, like Newton, are great for larger bedrooms or even for smaller rooms where there isn't enough space for two wardrobes.

Wardrobes with extra storage

Our wardrobes are equipped with a wealth of hanging space, and more often than not have drawer space for heavier items and shoes. Madison has plenty of room to hang your clothes, suits, dresses, and accessories, plus plenty of additional storage in the lower drawers.

Match your bedroom interior

Our wardrobes are designed to match our furniture ranges. Choose from natural or rustic oak to suit classic and traditional interiors.

You can also browse our painted wardrobes, with versatile, modern shades to complement your bed and bedroom interior. Hove is a white painted wardrobe which beautifully complements minimalist or bolder bedroom design styles.

Are sliding or hinged doors better for a wardrobe?

Most of our wardrobes use hinged doors, rather than sliding doors; although both come with their benefits.

With hinged doors, you can open both at the same time to see your whole wardrobe at once. This makes outfit coordinating even more convenient.

Wardrobes with sliding doors, like the Henley, are ideal for smaller bedrooms with less space.

Where’s the best place for a wardrobe in the bedroom?

When choosing the best place to put your wardrobe in your bedroom, there are a few things you should take into consideration.

Ideally, you want to place your wardrobe against a wall or in a corner that won’t block natural light or affect traffic flow. This is especially important for smaller spaces.

Also consider how close the wardrobe is to other pieces of bedroom furniture that store clothing, like a chest of drawers or dressing table. to make getting dressed or planning outfits easier. Finally, make sure you’re always able to see your bedroom mirror when standing in front of your wardrobe.
